BAWK!

I'm wondering if any of you can help me, Im having some trouble with the alpha transperency in Adobe Photoshop.

I know how where the alpha layer is, I know black makes is transparent. How I've tried to make my ship badge(s) is by making the image on one layer, and then have the alpha transparency as another. However it doesn't seem to work. I just get a completely blank image. Can anyone tell me what to do? or point me to a tutorial somewhere that can help?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe Doomaz or Peeker, are master PS'ers can answer this!?

Otherwise, try Krogoth (i think he's on here somewhere). he did mine.

I've tried putting the alpha layer on both the top and bottom. I must be doing something wrong somewhere and Im not sure as to what. I even followed the tutorial and now I get an all white background even when I made sure to set it to be transperent. Im starting to wonder if my Adobe is FUBAR or something....
